3rd COST 293 workshop on GRAphs and ALgorithms in Communication Networks (GRAAL 2008)
Co-located with DISC 2008, the European COST action 293 "Graphs and Algorithms in Communication Networks" (GRAAL) organizes its final workshop.
Call for presentations
Graphs and Algorithms play an important role in the design and
operation of communication networks. Researchers from discrete
mathematics, theoretical computer science, mathematical optimization,
and network engineering all have worked on these problems. These
disciplines have been working together in the European COST action 293
to advance the state-of-the-art.
For our final workshop, presentations are solicited from in- and outside
the consortium that report on recent advances in this
multi-disciplinary field. The topics include (but are not limited to):
- Traffic Grooming Algorithms
- Multi-Layer Network Design
- Routing and Wavelength Assignment
- Routing in Broadband Packet Networks
- Network Engineering Algorithms
- Planning of 3G Networks
- Mobile Ad-hoc Network Algorithms
- Sensor Networks
- Routing and Broadcasting Protocols
- Topologoy Control Algorithms
- Resource Management and Scheduling
- Non-cooperative Systems in Networks
- Pricing on Networks
Title and abstract (max. 200 words) have to submitted via e-mail to
Arie Koster, Arie.Koster at wbs.ac.uk
Important dates
- Deadline for submission of presentations: 1 August 2008
- Notification of acceptance: 15 August 2008
- Workshop: 24-25 September 2008
Tentative schedule
- 23 September 2008, PM: 13th MC meeting (for members of the Management Committee only)
